Big Mike’s Canoe Rental, formerly Carl’s Parkview Acres Canoe
Rental, is located in it’s original location directly across
from the entrance of beautiful Rifle River State Park in Lupton,
MI. The park is home to 7 lakes, 4300 acres of wilderness,
abundant wildlife, and the headwaters of the Rifle River. The
first ten miles of the Rifle, a Michigan designated “wild-scenic
river” winds through the park while a multitude of tributaries
feed into the waterway.
New owners, Mike, Becky, Tom, Nancy and Tommy are looking
forward to serving your recreational needs when you visit the
area. In addition to the canoes, kayaks, paddleboats and fishing
boats we will be providing bicycle rental so you can cycle the
many miles of trails in the park.
Take a leisurely trip beginning in beautiful Grousehaven Lake
or directly at the river outside DeVoe Dam. If you are quiet and
observant you may see deer, raccoon, fox, turkey, hawks and even
bald eagles who are the full-time residents of our beautiful
area.
The Rifle River is a friendly host, averaging 18-24 inches in
depth, slow moving and therefore easy to navigate for beginners,
families and seasoned paddlers as well. Join us for a memorable
